The Genie 2128 adds remote garage access to a dependable residential opener. Aladdin Connect® is installed directly within the unit, allowing homeowners to use a smartphone or similar device to check the door and operate it from almost anywhere without purchasing separate smart home hardware.
The opener works with residential sectional doors measuring up to 10 feet high and can raise the door at speeds of up to seven inches per second. Its DC powered system manages acceleration and stopping for less sudden movement, while the steel reinforced belt or chain and C channel rail provide a secure, clean installation.
The 2128 can connect with up to 16 remotes, keypads and other compatible devices. It also selects between two frequencies to avoid nearby interference and uses Intellicode® to help protect against stolen access codes. HomeLink® and Car2U® equipped vehicles can connect without an external bridge or repeater. The interior facing light accepts a Genie LED bulb or an incandescent bulb rated at no more than 60 watts, and the motor is covered by a 10 year limited warranty.
