How do I know whether my garage door opener should be repaired or replaced?

This is oftentimes personal preference, but usually, our customers choose replacement once an opener gets to 7-10 years old. Especially if it’s starting to have problems.

A problem with a sensor, control, or individual component may be repairable without replacing an otherwise dependable opener. Frequent breakdowns, discontinued parts, or safety issues that cannot be corrected can make replacement more practical. Our technicians can assess your and compare the repair and replacement options with you before you decide.
